Celebrate art and community at the 25th annual Sweetest Little Thing, and bid on artworks donated by artists from across the country and beyond!

At the heart of The Sweetest Little Thing is a silent auction featuring artworks donated by local, regional, and national artists. Emceed by Quinn Waylaing and Tori Weldon, this year’s event will feature karaoke with Graeme Patterson, a scavenger hunt, a raffle for an epic cake donated by Cranewood on Main Bakery and Café, and other fabulous prize packs, plus a few other surprises! Gather in your fanciest dress, snap a photo at the Instant Lovin’ Photo Booth, and get ready to partake in some dancing.

Masks encouraged. Extra-special pink, magenta, and red KN95 masks will be available to keep us looking festive. Available for free in both child and adult sizes.

This year, bidding will take place entirely online, ending on Wednesday, 14 February at 10:00 pm AST. Artworks will be available to preview in-person at the Owens.

About

The Sweetest Little Thing is the most important annual fundraising event for the Owens Art Gallery and Struts Gallery in Sackville, NB. Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting programming at both galleries.

This event is made possible by the generosity of local, national, and internationally recognized artists who have established connections with our galleries and who are part of our community.

Venue Access

The stairs to the Owens from the entrance nearest the University chapel have a handrail. There is also a ramp access at this entrance, however, the ramp is steep. The stairs to the Owens entrance off York Street do not have a handrail.

The main floor of the Owens is wheelchair accessible. Our second floor gallery and bathrooms, located in the basement are not accessible. Two flights of stairs lead to each of these floors.

The Owens welcomes guide dogs and other service animals.

Accessible Parking

There are two reserved accessible parking spaces on the York Street side of the building and one in the circular driveway adjacent to the building.
